Trout Hunting -the pusuit of happiness - Bob Wyatt gets to the heart of the matter in a book filled with fresh insights and challenges to conventional thinking. Well known to readers of Fly Fishing & Fly Tying magazine, Wyatt presents a wide-ranging and entertaining investigation of some of fly-fishing's central mysteries such as the intelligence of trout, and whether they feel pain. Trout Hunting unpacks the theory of 'selective' trout, and takes the voo-doo out of fly choice. Trout Hunting will help get your strategies organised and inspire reflection on the nature of this fascinating pursuit.

Hans Weilenmann is a familiar demonstration tier at fly-fishing shows, both in Europe and North America. His articles and reviews have featured in several books and magazines, including Fly Fisherman. A keen student and teacher of fly-casting, Hans is an FFF-Europe master fly-casting instructor and a member of the certification advisory board. He calls Amstelveen, The Netherlands, his home, and the world’s rivers his home waters. Hans has been tying flies for more years than he cares to remember. Simple, effective patterns for trout and grayling are his forte’. He has been known to tie flies too small to be seen by most anglers, but which are certainly noticed by the fish. Another of Hans’ specialties is the use of cul de canard in a variety of patterns, notably in his signature fly, the deadly CDC&Elk. His interest in fly-tying, macro photography, and a background in computing and networking, all came together in Flytier’s Page, a superb web site he created as a gallery of fly tiers and their patterns. Fly Tier’s page features many of the world’s most effective fly patterns by well known names in fly-fishing, such as Rene Harrop, Ed Shenk, Bruce Salzberg, Hans van Klinken and Eric Peper.
